The Barraquer micro needle holder with its length of 150 mm is particularly suitable for smaller hands and is especially light in comparison due to its external spring. The ratchet allows the suture material to be held securely in the jaws. This is equipped with carbide inserts (TC inserts) for particularly good resistance to abrasion and grip.
This model is suitable for suture strengths 5-0 and 6-0, which makes it suitable for periodontal surgery. The straight shape allows the needle to be picked up equally on both sides without having to change grip or turn the needle holder. The jaw thickness of 1.2 mm is one of the largest in this series. Thanks to the "pivot-curved" closure, the suture material does not get caught on the instrument and glides over it without tearing off while the thread is being looped. The design corresponds to that of the F-LINE ROUND SOLID, which stands for aesthetic appearance and ergonomic weight distribution.
