The parabolic grinding at the tip of the instrument and the diamond-shaped plateau ensure gentle penetration into the interdental space / periodontal gap. Due to the shape, four luxation movements are possible through a 180° rotation, 2x mesial and 2x distal. During the luxation process, the instrument works with 5-7 hypomochlies (rotation and support movements). This makes it clearly superior to any conventional lever. Luxation is particularly favoured by the serrated edge of the instrument.
Axial levering stress on the instrument tips can lead to fracture. The Pivot-Point instruments are not suitable for axial levering use. Non-observance of the instructions for use can lead to breakage. We cannot accept any liability for this damage!
